Vilcabamba is a picturesque town, long famed as the Valley of Longevity.

It is located in the extreme south of Ecuador,

in the province of Loja,

just 120 km north of the Peruvian border crossing of Zumba.

 

Our provincial capital Loja, which is 40km from Vilcabamba,

serves as the transportation hub from all parts of Ecuador

and from northern Peru, including Mancora and Piura.
